Product Description

ISO 6942 EN 366 Thermal Protection Radiation Performance Tester For Clothing

Thermal Protection Radiation Performance Tester Introduction:

The thermal protection radiation performance tester is designed and manufactured according to the standard requirements of ISO6942 and EN366. The equipment fully complies with the standard test requirements and is recognized by European and American customers; the equipment has a user-friendly, intuitive, Windows-based application that provides complete thermal control, fault detection and data logging functions. RPP system configuration and burn prediction calculations are also included in the ThermDAC.

This equipment is used to evaluate the thermal performance of heat and fire protection clothing when facing short-term flames. Heat with a certain heat density (80KW/m²±5%) is applied to the lower side of the sample woven from the cloth and other materials that constitute the protective clothing. The heat transmission rate (time: seconds, temperature rise: ℃) as time increases is measured by the calorimeter installed on the upper side of the sample, thereby evaluating the thermal insulation performance of the material.

1. The tester consists of a radiation device, a sample clamping device and a control system;
2. Stainless steel frame structure, beautiful, corrosion-resistant and easy to clean;
3. Sample size: 230mm x 80mm;
4. The radiation source consists of 5 infrared quartz lamps with a power of 500W; providing at least 80kw/㎡ of radiation heat;
5. The standard stipulates a copper plate heat flux meter; the heat flux meter range is 0~100kw/m2;
6. Computer intelligent control system; making the test more intelligent; easy to operate;
7. The timer timing accuracy is 1s;
8. Constantan thermocouple: temperature measurement accuracy is 0.1℃;
9. Metal protection shield, equipped with a water cooling device;
10. The computer continuously records and displays the real-time temperature curve;
11. Automatic test operation mode, the test time can be freely set.
12. According to ISO 6942-2002 (EN366), the protective properties of materials can be tested according to two test methods.
13. The first method (Method A) is to subject the sample to a certain amount of thermal radiation, and record the appearance changes in order to reproduce the harsh conditions in which the material is exposed.
14. The second method (Method B) is to place a calorimeter on the back of the sample, conduct heat from the back of the sample, and record the trend of temperature changes over time to determine the level of thermal radiation transfer.
