UL 790 Rooftop Photovoltaic Cell Module Flammability Tester UL 1730 IEC 61730-2
Rooftop Photovoltaic Cell Module Flammability Tester Product Introduction:
The roof burning test system is designed and developed in strict accordance with UL 1730 and IEC 61730-2 standards, and is intended to simulate real environmental conditions to evaluate the fire resistance of roofs and their components. The system can evaluate the A~C grades of samples under the test conditions of 1.82 meters for Class A, 2.4 meters for Class B, and 3.9 meters for Class C. In addition, the system is also suitable for flame retardant performance testing of photovoltaic cell components to ensure their safety and reliability in fire situations.
Rooftop Photovoltaic Cell Module Flammability Tester Standards:
• UL 1730: Smoke Detection Monitors for Individual Dwelling Units in Multifamily Dwellings and Hotel Rooms: Electrically Operated Annunciators for Detecting Dwelling Smoke Conditions
• UL 790: Standard Methods of Fire Tests for Roof Coverings
• IEC 61730-2 Annex A: Photovoltaic Module Flame Tests
• ASTM E 108-04: Standard Methods of Fire Tests for Roof Coverings
Rooftop Photovoltaic Cell Module Flammability Tester Technical Specification:
|
Rooftop Photovoltaic Cell Module Flammability Tester Features:
1. Stainless steel tooling structure, beautiful and corrosion-resistant;
2. Electronic automatic control of deck inclination rate
3. Automatic system temperature control;
- Grade A, B: 760 ±28℃(1400 ±50℉) - 21,000 ~ 22,000 Btu/min
- Grade C: 704 ±28℃(1300 ±50℉) - 18,000 ~ 19,000 Btu/min
4. High-precision gas control valve controls gas flow
5. High-precision pressure gauge and pressure regulating valve control gas pressure
6. Each gas delivered to the burner must follow different testing and control methods
7. - LNG: MFM can be used to accurately measure gas flow (gas flow is controlled by automatic control valve) 8. -LPG: Use inverter system to adjust air flow rate: the rate on the test deck is 19±8 km/h(5.5m/sec)
9. The system has a high degree of braking. Automatic ignition method is adopted, and automatic ignition can be performed during the test
10. A guide plate is attached to the ventilation duct to protect the airflow turbulence supplying the test deck from external interference
11. A slope adjustment panel is installed on the ventilation duct to adjust the air flow direction
12. A thermocouple is installed at 58.7mm on the top of the burner, which can test the temperature of 888±28℃
13. The DAQ system can automatically control and complete the test
Test Results:
1) General performance standards for flame spread
• Any part of the roof covering material (component or panel) blows off the test deck in the form of flames or luminous particles
• The roof deck can be exposed by sliding, cracking, bending the roof covering material, etc.
• Fire safety level A: The flame spread range is 1.82M,
Fire safety level B: The flame spread range is 2.4M,
Fire safety level C: The flame spread range is 3.9M,
The flame spread state is measured from the edge of the specimen
2) General performance standards for roof burning
• Any part of the panel or component blows off or falls off the test deck in the form of flames
• A part of the roof deck or a part of a panel or component in the roof structure disappears in the form of luminous particles
• The burning state of the component or panel continues
