ISO 9150 Molten Metal Splashes (mms) Test Equipment
Introduction:
ISO 9150 is a standard for testing the splash performance of protective clothing materials against molten metal. Its purpose is to evaluate the degree of temperature rise on the back of the material when it comes into contact with molten metal splashes, so as to judge the material's protection against molten metal splashes.
The molten metal splashes (mms) test equipment is developed according to the EN 348 and ISO 9150 test standards, and meets the domestic GB8965.2-2009 "Welding Protective Clothing" and GB/T 17599-1998 "Determination of Molten Metal Impact Resistance" test standards. The test principle is to use a welding gun to melt the welding wire, and when its dripping causing the temperature of the calorimeter on the back of the fabric to rise by 40°C, measure the number of molten metal drops that fall.
Test principle:
Splash molten metal drops onto the surface of the material, measure the temperature rise on the back of the material, and evaluate the material's resistance to molten metal splashes.
Test method:
Use a specific device to control the temperature and number of molten metal drops, as well as the way they splash onto the surface of the material.
Test parameters:
Measure the number and time of molten metal droplets splashing onto the material surface, as well as the temperature change on the back of the material.
Material classification:
Based on the performance of the material in the test, it is divided into different levels, such as level 1, level 2. The higher the level, the better the protection performance.
Main Features:
1. The molten metal drop impact performance tester includes a burner, a sample frame, a welding strip drive device, a burner flow controller, a human-machine interface display device, etc.
2. The oxyacetylene welding torch is used to melt the metal strip, and the welding nozzle diameter is (1.2±0.1) mm.
3. A stepper motor is used to drive the metal strip, and the running speed of the metal strip can be set.
4. The molten drop guide mechanism is coated with a high-temperature anti-sticking guide groove with an angle of 45 degrees.
5. The fabric temperature sensor device is used to measure the temperature rise on the back of the sample.
6. The counterweight copper hammer device is used to set the fabric pre-tension of 175g±0.5g;
7. The temperature rise data can be automatically recorded, and the number of molten drops is recorded by the tester.
