Limited Flame Spread Tester ISO 15025

 

The testing principle of ISO 15025 is to simulate the ability of clothing materials to resist the spread of flame when exposed to a specified small-scale flame under specific orientation and conditions.

 

Simulated Exposure Scenarios: The test simulates two common ignition source contact methods:

  • Surface Ignition (Method A): The flame is applied to the surface of the sample. This simulates scenarios such as welding sparks falling onto the sample or flames licking clothing from the side.
  • Bottom Edge Ignition (Method B): The flame is applied to the bottom edge of the vertically suspended sample. This simulates scenarios where the hem of clothing accidentally comes into contact with an ignition source (such as passing by an open flame). Method B is generally considered more stringent.
  • ample Angle: The sample is placed at a specific angle (45° for Method A, vertical for Method B) in a combustion chamber with a backplate. The backplate restricts airflow, making the test conditions more stable.

The Limited Flame Spread Tester is designed and manufactured according to the ISO 15025 standard for protective clothing combustion testing. It can test the flame spread of protective clothing under the impact of a small flame. It is a professional instrument mainly used to simulate and evaluate the flame spread performance of protective clothing when it is on fire, and is used to determine the fire hazard of flammable materials such as fabrics or other similar functional materials.

Technical Specifications:

1. The combustion chamber is made of stainless steel, aesthetically pleasing and corrosion-resistant. Dimensions: 1200mm x 600mm x 1200mm;
