ASTM C177 ISO 8302 Double Plate High Temperature Thermal Conductivity Tester
The dual-plate thermal conductivity meter is a high-precision testing device based on the steady-state protective hot plate method, designed for accurate measurement of thermal conductivity in various insulation materials. This instrument features an extensive temperature control range from -160℃ to 800℃, accommodating both soft materials (fibers, foams, felts) and rigid materials (sheets, ceramics, composites). With excellent testing accuracy, convenient sample clamping mechanism, and fully automated testing process, the system employs computer intelligent control to adjust temperature and power in real time, automatically determine thermal steady state, and generate compliant test reports.
The working principle follows a unidirectional steady-state thermal conductivity model. Two symmetrical samples are placed between a central hot plate and two cold plates. When temperature difference reaches stable state, thermal conductivity is calculated by measuring electrical power input, temperature difference across the sample, and thickness. The instrument utilizes dual high-precision internal and external protective temperature control systems with unique protective temperature difference measurement structure, ensuring one-dimensional heat transfer and eliminating lateral heat loss for reliable, repeatable measurement results.
